There are two ways to tell us what happened using Durham University’s Report and Support tool.
Anonymous Report
If you choose to report anonymously, we will not ask you for any personally identifiable details (as the anonymous form does not have any free text box). We will not be able to contact you to offer you any advice or support.
Making an anonymous report informs the University that something has happened. This will not instigate any part of a formal process or complaint. Instead, we use anonymous reports to monitor trends so we can better understand the issues impacting our University community. Anonymous reporting, therefore, still helps to shape our prevention of, and response to, unwanted behaviour.
Reports with contact details
If you would like to be contacted about your report in order to access support or how to take your report further, then you can make a report with contact details. This form provides the option to be referred to an advisor, who can provide impartial and confidential guidance to help you understand what options and services are available.
This form contains free text boxes, in which incidents details can be provided. When a member of staff or a student is named and/or identifiable within the report, the University will seek to take appropriate safeguarding action if required.
